What it offers
A private, local-first Android companion: a character named Bujji who talks, remembers, reminds, and looks back at you, running an on-device language model on a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with no laptop server, no cloud model, and no paid avatar service.
JP wanted a character to talk to anytime, not a chat box with a face on it — and one that never sends conversations, memory, or voice to a server.

How it evolved
- Switched to the model format Android could actually run
- The companion became the home screen, not a sub-page
- Tuned prompts only against measured failures, not guesses
- Replaced a generated avatar with JP's own filmed clip
- Model swaps are now transactional, with rollback
